This unique program provides area high school students the opportunity to see the FACCE of cancer. Young artists learn about cancer side effects and prevention, then create faces that are adorned by wigs and offered to local survivors.
At the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, we bring cancer awareness to the classroom. Through the Fine Arts Creating Cancer Enlightenment (FACCE) program, young artists learn about cancer side effects and prevention, then create faces that are adorned by wigs and offered to local survivors. The Foundation provides the styrofoam wig heads students use to portray the FACCE of cancer and their inspiring finished products are then proudly displayed in our Four Seasons Beauty Program wig room.
