In partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UTEP (OLLI), the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation sponsors classes to enhance the enjoyment, meaning and direction of mature lives, to stay connected and to support the well-being of adults. OLLI classes, lectures and tours are held either at RGCF offices, UTEP, virtually or on-site and seek to develop a community of older learners to share knowledge, spark ideas, inspire new thinking and forge friendships. No tests or pressure... just the sheer joy of learning and camaraderie.

A 12-week workshop for cancer survivors and caregivers with various topics related to healing and survivorship.Focus on active living after cancer and includes presentations on nutrition, spirituality and survivorship dialogue, the group is available in English and in Spanish.

Supporting the whole patient means meeting their emotional needs as well as their physical ones. Even better: doing so is also shown to improve treatment outcomes. We work with providers to host groups where people can share personal experiences and feelings, chronic medical conditions, bereavement or caregiving. There is no cost to attend these groups, however, reservations are requested.

Cancer support groups are the living, breathing embodiment of the mission of the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. Funding is available to groups that meet the following criteria:
Faith-based organizations that welcome and serve all members of the community regardless of religious belief are also invited to apply.
To be considered for funding, email a proposal including meeting locations, dates and times; target audience; focus; methodologies; key objectives; and measures of success, and email it to rgcf@rgcf.org.
