The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors announced at their October board meeting the appointment of Carol Henry Bohle as the Executive Director for the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. Mrs. Bohle will succeed Patty Tiscareño who retires after 25 years of service to the organization.
Carol has served as the Executive Director of the El Paso Coalition for the Homeless (EPCH) for the last 11 years. The EPCH was established in 2003 and serves as a coordinating body for all entities providing housing, services, and support to the homeless.
“Carol brings a wealth of non-profit skills and knowledge to our organization”, said Board President Sharon Voelz, “and we are confident she will help advance the foundation directives, programs and services toward the betterment of cancer patients in El Paso”.
In a previous life, Carol was a Senior Financial Analyst and Corporate Specialist at El Paso Electric Company for 16 years. She was also an Assistant Vice President and Manager of Corporate Services for 4 years at Texas Commerce Bank.
Additionally, Carol has been a volunteer in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years, having served at the helm of the Junior League of El Paso as well as numerous volunteer positions within the El Paso ISD school district.
Carol, a lifelong El Paso resident, holds a BS in Finance from Arizona State University. She is married to Chris and has two adult children, John and Kathryn.
