Igniting Conversations and Championing Men's Health: The Brovember Challenge by Rio Grande Cancer Foundation
In a powerful endeavor to raise awareness about men's health, Holguin proudly joins the ranks of participants in the Brovember Challenge, a month-long campaign sponsored by the esteemed Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. With an emphasis on fostering crucial conversations, this initiative aims to shed light on the unique health challenges faced by men.
Carol Bohle, the director of RGCF, emphasizes the significance of these discussions, stating, "The interesting thing about men is that they have a higher risk of coming down with cancer and dying from cancer than women." Recognizing the gender disparity in healthcare, Bohle emphasizes that while women are encouraged to visit doctors regularly and follow a scheduled regimen for early detection, men often lack a similar framework.
